The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for the UGC NET June 2026 Examination. This exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) across India.The online application process has started from 29 April 2026, and interested candidates can submit their forms till 20 May 2026. Eligibility Criteria
To apply for UGC NET June 2026, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Must have completed or be appearing in a Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks
- Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree are also eligible (as per latest norms)
Age Limit
- For JRF: Maximum age limit is 31 years
- For NET (Assistant Professor): No age restriction
Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules.
